Q. What is Graphic Design?
A. The whole point of graphic design is to set about combining the written and the visual in order to maximize the opportunity you have to inform, convince, sell. If you’re promoting a company, product, service, event, whatever it may be, you want to make the most of the space you’re using to do that. Strong, effective design can help achieve that aim

Q. How much will it cost me?
A. Prices can vary depending on the extent of the project, please contact to discuss your requirements and for a free, no obligation quote. You can be confident that your quote will not increase unless, of course the design brief is altered during the design process. You will always be notified in advance of any changes to the price. Q. Do Scope charge VAT?
A. Scope do not charge VAT for any of our work, helping to keep costs down and provide value for money.

Q. If I am supplying graphics to Scope, what are the best formats?

A. This depends on the type of graphic you are supplying. If it is a photograph, then a tiff(tagged image file format), jpeg(joint photographic expert group) or psd(photoshop document). All files should be 300dpi(dots per inch) for best printed results.

If the supplied graphic is a logo, then a vector image would be the preferred format. A vector image is made up of vector lines instead of pixels and as a result can be scaled up to any size without losing any quality.

Other file formats will be accepted but a small charge may be incurred if considerable work is required to convert the file.

Q. What is the difference between CMYK and RGB

A. CMYK and RGB are colour modes, CMYK stands for cyan, magenta, yellow & black which are the four main printing colours used when printing full colour work (known as ‘four colour process’ or ‘full colour’). This colour mode is used for all design for print.

RGB stands for red, green, blue and is used for all work that is NOT for print. Instead, this is used for web design or anything else that is viewed on a screen only. RGB is also used for all television work.

Basically, design for print = CMYK, design for web = RGB
